On September 30, 2020, the Asia South Pacific Association for Basic and Adult Education (ASPBAE) will conduct first of its series of virtual events on Adult Learning and Education (ALE) entitled “Webinar on Regional Report on Voluntary National Review (VNR) Analysis from an ALE Lens.”
ASPBAE, a civil society network advocating for the right to inclusive and quality education for all children, youth and adults, organizes a series of virtual events on ALE within Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 and as a strategy for realizing other SDGs especially during the trying times of the pandemic. Founded in 1964, its advocacies along with its 200 organizations and individual members from 30 countries in the Asia Pacific continues up to this day.
Relative to this, the LCC would like to invite every literacy stakeholder, advocate, and partner to take part in this significant convergence. Topics to be covered include the discussion of the analysis came out of ASPBAE’s study of VNR of 12 countries in the Asia Pacific; and the different country experiences on the integration of ALE and lifelong learning into the SGDs, among others. DepEd Undersecretary Diosdado M. San Antonio, the LCC Chairperson will grace this event and serve as one of the speakers.
