LCC being the premier advisory and coordinating body for all literacy endeavors in the country, has committed in thriving and utilizing forged and strengthened partnership amongst its stakeholders and literacy partners.
To effectively mobilize and deliver the Council’s literacy initiatives from the national down to the ground level, its Secretariat underwent a comprehensive and relevant capacity building workshop focusing on partnership strategies last March 20-22, 2019 at DepEd NEAP-R10, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City. The objectives of the said workshop were to: (1) identify ways on how to collaborate with stakeholders within and outside of the LCC Secretariat; (2) develop, manage, and sustain partnerships with DepEd units and other stakeholders; and (3) strengthen partnerships with public and private agencies and organizations in the fulfillment of LCC’s vision, mission and core values.
Discussions on the foundational concepts such as the importance, and effective strategies of partnership were shared by various resource persons, including specialists from DepEd’s External Partnerships Service (EPS) facilitating the said activity. Other topics covered were developing the skill of identifying and anchoring different types of partners according to the needs through a series of workshops. Lastly, the Secretariat was also equipped with technical skills on maintaining the LCC Website page which will be essential in the promotion and implementation of the LCC’s programs and projects.
