On March 8, 2019, the LCC Secretariat representative joined the celebration of International Women’s Day as it honors all women globally for their significant contributions in transforming the society through their beautiful and unique traces all around the world.
As Dr. Sandra Montano, Commissioner of Philippine Commission on Women, one of the resource speakers, highlighted the role of women in the society, she mentioned that “Women are not empowered to overpower men. But to be an asset to the community and be the driver of change. To meaningfully contribute to the development and changes in the world.”
Moreover, the topic “Women as Entrepreneurs” was explored at the latter part of the program which was shared by Ms. Deniece Cornejo, Youth Ambassador of CEO Demico Global Solutions.
Aside from this, cultural Indonesian presentations were hosted in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia. The said event was held at Bulwagan ng Karunungan, DepEd Central Office, DepEd Complex, Pasig City.
