On June 21, 2019, the LCCS joins the 121st Founding Anniversary of the Department of Education held at the DepEd Complex in Pasig City. DepEd key officials and employees marched together around the complex which made the parade even more vibrant and unified. Afterwards, a short opening program was held at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan followed by playing of traditional Filipino games, and eating traditional Filipino foods.
All schools, schools division offices, and regional offices also aligned their activities in the theme “DepEd para sa Pilipino” and celebrated it nationwide last Friday in conjunction with the DepEd Memorandum No. 77, s.2019. Moreover, this year, the DepEd partnered with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) on which tickets for the opera show “Noli Me Tangere” were distributed among selected representatives. The said activity aimed to create awareness and strengthen the country’s cultural identity.
