Development of the NLIS Module on LCC Secretariat Database Kicks Off

The Literacy Coordinating Council (LCC) conducted the second of the series of workshops on the National Literacy Information System (NLIS) Data Harvesting and Population on September 29 to October 2, 2020 via Google Meet. This time the focus was on the LCC Secretariat (LCCS) database.

The LCCS module features relevant data about the Council such as the quarterly LCC meetings, TWG meetings, annual reports, activity reports, and accomplishment reports, and Quality Management System documents. Other pertinent data sets like correspondences, property, and directory, among others are also part of the module.

The virtual workshop particularly aimed to gather and validate the LCCS database and integrate the module into the NLIS system, which is lodged into the current LCC website structure.

The said activity was participated in by Mr. Nemesio O. Malatamban III of the House of Representatives (HRep); Ms. Susan M. Carandang of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA); Ms. Aurea Jean A. Abad, TWG Member; Ms. Ma. Cristina M. Gonzales, Freelance Training Specialist; Mr. Elijah Lyle R. Minguez, Freelance Software Engineer; and the LCC Secretariat head and staff.

This specific module shall be published into the system at: https://lcc.deped.gov.ph/nlis, once validated. The rest of the NLIS database modules will be developed in the upcoming workshops to be held this October until December 2020.
