Validation Workshop on the Philippine Deaf Education Roadmap

The Bureau of Education Assessment (BEA) spearheaded the conduct of the Final Roadmap Validation Workshop for the Philippine Deaf Education held at the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP), Marikina City on August 14-16, 2019.

The said activity aimed to confirm the Multi-literacy for Filipino Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Learners (DHHLs) Roadmap’s content and appropriateness wherein the Programs, Activities and Projects (PAPs) were systematically identified, aligned and finalized based on the strategic directions indicated in the long-term plan. The Literacy Coordinating Council Secretariat, together with the other selected representatives from bureaus/offices of DepEd Central Office, contributed to the roadmap formulation to help finalize the priority needs in the three (3) thematic areas, which include Access, Quality and Governance, of the Strategic Deaf Education Plan. The LCC Secretariat had also provided comprehensive inputs on partnership with local government units (LGUs) and other government agencies (GAs) as expected contributions from the said office.
